Creating an AppTheme Child Theme

To help prevent edits and changes to your AppPresser site, we highly encourage creating a child theme of AppTheme. This will allow you to safely alter and edit the files while still being able to update the parent AppTheme as we push out improvements. Please see the following Child Theming guide from the WordPress Codex for more information.

We have created a basic child theme that you can use to get you started. It includes a couple class files to help you with that part, as well as the expected index.php and style.css file.

Please make sure that you have the AppTheme installed (but not activated) in your themes folder. The AppPresser core plugin also needs to be installed and activated. Both items are required for the AppTheme Child Theme to function properly.
